Ringing in 2015 with a rousing round of Nerf Zombie Yahtzee. {Don't Look Back}

Mitch has gone to bed, so my first official game of the year is a solo round of Don't Look Back, a very strange mutated Yahtzee with forced integration with the Walking Dead. I knew Mitch was out for the count when I asked him which walking dead character he wanted to be, and he asked if he could be Jessica or Paprika...

At the moment this is my only solo game(other than Mice and Mystics, and it's a little late in the evening to start a round of that) so this is how I'm bringing in the new year. This game was a gift from my mother for Christmas. I think it has potential to be an interesting drunk group game. By myself, however, gameplay is too repetitive to even keep me hooked for a full game. The rules are very simple, so I think it would be palatable to casual gamers. Really, anyone who can play Yahtzee can play this game, even if the game defines a straight as "two or more dice in sequential order." Yes, you can roll a [2/3] and score a straight of 2.

I might try to get Mitch to play it with me some other time. Right now I have completed 2 of the 4 tiles, and I will be packing up and heading to bed. I won out with one health left after two tiles. I don't absolutely hate this game, so I will at least give it another shot some time, but I'm not really looking forward to it.

Still, all things considered, I'm happy, healthy, and enjoying my hobby at the start of the new year, so let's hope the rest of the year remains this awesome!
